When wastewater lacks oxygen, hydrogen sulfide is produced. In addition to giving off foul smell and dangerous gas, also concrete, metals and electrical equipment is damaged. The higher the concentration, the greater the damage. In addition, the increase in the operating costs of the sewage treatment plant due to increased amount of sludge and higher consumption of reactants.
The possibility of using oxygenation through aeration of sewage systems has been limited by the low oxygen levels given by other aeration methods. Our technology provides 3-5 times higher oxygen levels than other aeration methods, which makes aeration an alternative to chemicals. This is because our aeration process can handle entirely different residence times than in the past, before hydrogen sulfide is formed.
